At S4E, Carmela’s classes empower participants to explore their unique artistic voices, build skills, and discover the joy of creating — no matter their ability or experience.

Carmela brings over 30 years of expertise in visual arts education and a lifelong commitment to fostering creativity in learners of all ages and abilities. As a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, she has dedicated her career to creating safe, supportive spaces where individuality is celebrated and every student feels valued.

At S4E, Carmela’s passion for art goes beyond teaching technique — she believes in its power to inspire personal growth, self-expression, and connection. Her programs are thoughtfully designed to nurture confidence, self-esteem, and creative independence, while embracing inclusivity and diverse ways of learning.

Carmela’s teaching style is defined by patience, empathy, and encouragement. She works closely with each participant, ensuring they feel seen, supported, and empowered to explore their own artistic voice. Her belief that every person has a unique creative potential shapes the heart of her work at S4E.

When she’s not guiding participants through their artistic journey, Carmela continues to develop innovative approaches to arts education, ensuring her classes remain engaging, accessible, and inspiring for all.
